One of the starting points in the EcoAerobic Lifestyle is making superfood, mineral abundant, and micronized smoothies.  The best way to do that is with the Blendtec 20 amp blender.

 

The Blendtec 20 amp, 2400 watt blender (the one on the far right) is the best blender on the market today.  It's in a class all by itself.  For those who won't settle for anything but the best and want to create the MOST nutritious smoothies - the 20 amper is the only choice.  The Blendtec HP3A (2nd from the right) is a great entry level blender for the "transitional" smoothie enthusiast.

This 20 amp Blendtec blender is far superior to any other blender on the market today in many ways - any one of which would set it above the others but coupled together makes the 20amper a SUPER BLENDER.

 

 

Blade Design - it has a 4 inch blade with 2 half inch upright wingtips.  Anything that gets in front of that blade is broken up at the micron level and all the phytonutrients are released.

 

 

Container Design - it is a 5 sided 96 ounce square container.  Unlike the round containers where the food just slides around inside in a neat little whirlpool, this container with 90 degree corners creates an earthquake inside instead of a tornado.

 

 

Motor Design - there is reserve power even under full load.  I tested this blender with a thick almond butter recipe and the motor could not be overloaded.  Most of the time the 20 amps are not utilized but to power the huge 4 inch blade in making regular smoothies you have reserve power so the blade never slows down.

 

 

Blending Time - Because of the above 3 features the blending time is cut in half so there is much less oxidation of the food.  As the food is being blended it mixes with oxygen in the air and that oxygen will kill some of the nutrients.  My favorite cycle which is call "XL Smoothie" is a 40 second cycle.  I push one button and it starts.  The first 15 seconds are slow to break up the food.  It then kicks into high speed for 25 seconds and shuts itself off.  The result is a silky smooth drink with food particles so small that they are easily assimilated into my system.  The other blenders would take 2 or even 3 times as long and not even come close to the consistency of my blender.

 

 

I started out making smoothies with a Vita Prep 3 (VP3) which was a fantastic machine.  It's a 12.5 amp 1500 watt motor.  (All of the other Vita Mix blenders are not nearly as good as the VP3).  When I got the 20 amp Blendtec I was amazed at the difference.

 

 

If you arere not quite ready for the BEST, the alternative to the 20 amper is the HP3A Blendtec.  It has the same basic "drive train" as the Vita Prep 3 but when coupled with the HP3A container and blade combination, the performance is outstanding.  It too has the programmable buttons so you can fine tune your cycles.  In my testing it was easier to overload the VP3 than the HP3A and the HP3A is over 100 dollars less.

 

Blendtec blenders have stepped out of the crowd and have proved themselves to be a superior product.  I'm sure the other companies have gone back to the drawing board to design something that can compete with Blendtec but it will take years to top the performance of these two blenders at competitive prices.
